Vintage Dresser in ASCP Pure White

As promised, this week I'm going to show you the dresser I painted for Miss Addie. The piece has a lot of sentimental value as it use to belong to Addie's great grandmother, Naomi.

It's has held up pretty well over the years...

with the exception of a few cosmetic scars and

one missing drawer.
LOL!

The vintage dresser was updated with ASCP Pure White
to match the desk I painted for the family a few weeks ago.

Here are a few pics of the final product:

So what'cha think?

I love the clean crisp look of the Pure White paint!
I think the dresser would look great paired with a fun puff or ottoman.

We considered using wicker baskets to solve the missing drawer issue,
but decided the best solution was simply to build a replacement drawer.

Obviously I'm NOT a carpenter but you know what they say...

"Have Kreg Jig, will build."

Ya know what else wannabe DIYers say?

"Always be nice to your brother-n-laws...
especially those that own a table saw!"

Thanks for the help Dean Henry!

The drawer actually turned out pretty darn good
if I do say so myself!

The only down side was that we had to forfeit our plans to
recreate a herringbone design on the outside of the dresser drawers
because I wasn't able to match the wood stains.
Oh well, we'll just have to save that idea for another 13CCF project!

Sweet little Miss Addie is going to have some beautiful bedroom furniture

thanks to her awesome Grandma Diane!

As always, thanks for reading 13CCF. Stop back next week (or the next?) to see plank headboard I'm in the process of making.
