I started with the glass door unit. I really haven't decided for sure what I want to do with the open bookshelves yet. Time will tell I guess.
These bookcases are a pressed wood product with a foil finish, but we know Annie Sloan Chalk Paint will adhere to almost any surface. Plus the wax sort of acts as a protective sealant. I decided to paint the glass door unit with Graphite and then add a piece of galvanized sheet metal to the back. Here's a look at the final product:

What'ch think?
I think it turned out great!
I love the modern flair the galvanized sheet metal
adds to the piece.
I wish I had the space for it in our home.
The piece is approximately 79.5" H x 31.5" W x 12" D.
It has five shelves,
four of which are adjustable.
Each shelf it about 10.5" deep.
This piece could be a great addition to any room in your house...
home office, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, or pantry.
Whether it's filled with your keepsake treasures or daily necessities,
it's going to look awesome.
The Graphite color is an extremely versatile hue
that's a great contrast to the sheen of the galvanized metal and hardware.
Like all tall hefty pieces of furniture
this bookcase MUST be anchored to the wall for safety purposes.
No exceptions!
Left me know if you are interested in purchasing this bookcase.
I'm selling it for $195. SOLD
As always, thanks for visiting 13CCF. Enjoy those last days of summer before the new school year begins!
