This summer I bought a dresser online while we were away on vacation. I have to admit, my heart dropped a little when I eventually picked it up. The poor little thing just looked so pathetic in person! Lol!
The dresser sat in our garage for over a month while I pondered what to do with it.
I finally decided my best option was to dismantle it like a piece of
equipment
and use it for parts.
The mirror could be a chalkboard, the drawers under
the bed storage, etc.
I started by taking the broken mirror out and replacing it with a chalk board
I made with a piece of 1/4" masonite and Rust-Oleum Chalk Board paint.
Then I started stripping the paint off the drawers.
About half way through the process a new idea hit me.
Go white washed beachy!
I quickly switched gears and am so thankful I did.
Here's the final product:

What'cha think?
Yeah...
I LOVE IT !!!
The black chalk board and waxed white washed wood
look great against the Annie Sloan Pure White Chalk Paint.
I added faux mercury glass knobs for a little sparkle.
They're a great contrast to the rustic wood patina.
Whether it's placed in an entryway...
a bedroom...
or a porch...
this one of a kind piece will attract a lot of attention in your home.
I'm selling the piece for $200 - SOLD.
Let me know if you are interested in purchasing it.
